Indian Food chart for 7 months old baby
As a new mommy, many of us would be deprived on what to feed our baby when they are 7 months old. I started solids for my baby at 7 months. She was active, she was trying to crawl and sit back with support.
I started with simple food at 7 months. I introduced 1 food a day and closely monitored her sleep, poop, pee and her mood. She was good and accepted a most of the food and rejected a few. I documented in the meal plan journal. The recipes and chart are mentioned below.
Recipes:
1. Steamed Carrot :
I use steamer cum blender to steam and blend the fruits and vegetables. Peel the skin and wash the carrots. Cut them into cubes and steam using the all in one steamer cum blender. This steamer is my go to for steaming vegetable, heating milk, sterilizing and blending. Its portable and easy to use. Blend the vegetables and add few drops of breast milk to the puree. Serve once its cool. You can store this mixture in an air tight container and use it for 2 hours.
2. Raagi Porridge:
Get fresh ragi from store, wash it and dry it on a white cloth for a day indoor. Store it in an air tight container. Soak the ragi over night, strain the water and sprout it for a day. Next morning, grind ragi and squeeze the milk. Heat the pan and keep stirring the milk until it turns out to a glassy thick paste consistency. Add a pinch of pepper and salt. Feed once its cold. You can add jaggery and breast milk according to your child's taste. I introduced jaggery first she dint like so i used salt. She loves it.
3. Wheat Porridge :
Get fresh wheat from store, wash it and dry it on a white cloth for a day indoor. Store it in an air tight container. Soak the Wheat over night, strain the water and sprout it for a day.
